Part of our Mini collection, this cup features a hand-altered square rim that offers a modern, comfortable grip. The glossy white glaze is accented with fine iron speckles, breaking softly over the corners of the form to highlight its architectural shape. It is designed for enjoying sake, espresso, or a small measure of tea.

Hand-thrown in our Boulder, Colorado studio from durable stoneware, this cup features a turned foot with the Kleybird maker's mark. It holds approximately 100ml (3 fl oz) and is suitable for use in the dishwasher and microwave.

Because this item is hand-thrown and hand-shaped, no two are ever exactly alike. Variations in the glaze speckling and the square form are not defects—they are the beautiful evidence of the handmade process. The piece you receive will be the only one of its kind in existence.

Care Instructions

• Handwashing is best. For a long-lasting finish, especially for pieces with unglazed clay or celadon glazes, we recommend washing by hand using a gentle, non-abrasive detergent.

• Dishwasher safe. While our pieces are dishwasher safe, we suggest using a gentle cycle and arranging items so they won't touch to prevent chips or cracks.

• Microwave safe. You can use your ceramic in the microwave, but avoid sudden temperature changes. Never put a cold piece directly into a hot microwave, or a hot piece into cold water, as this can cause thermal shock.
