This small bud vase features a squat, rounded form with a sharp taper, finished in a mottled blue glaze that mimics the shifting colours of the deep sea. Thrown from durable stoneware in our Boulder, Colorado studio, the weighted base provides a stable home for a cluster of fresh flowers or an air plant.

The piece is watertight and designed for daily use, making it an easy addition to a windowsill or bedside table. It is safe for the dishwasher, though a quick hand wash is usually all it needs.

Because this piece is hand-thrown, no two are ever exactly alike. Variations in glaze and form are not defects—they are evidence of the handmade process. The piece you receive will be the only one of its kind.

Care Instructions

• Handwashing is best. For a long-lasting finish, and especially for pieces with unglazed clay, we recommend washing by hand using a gentle, non-abrasive detergent.

• Dishwasher safe. While our pieces are dishwasher safe, we suggest using a gentle cycle and arranging items so they won't touch to prevent chips or cracks.

• Microwave safe. You can use your ceramic in the microwave, but avoid sudden temperature changes. Never put a cold piece directly into a hot microwave, or a hot piece into cold water, as this can cause thermal shock.
